Now you say … yeah, so what. Think about it! We may have played second fiddle to Florida this time, but the positive that came out of today is the fact that highly touted football recruits are interested in Kentucky football!
Here is another kicker to the George Brown decision. Reports where coming out last weekend that brown was ready to commit to Kentucky. When Florida heard this they decided to get in touch with Brown and ask that he delay his decision until he makes his visit to Florida. Right now Brown is committed to Florida, But Will Muschamp is sitting on a hot seat in Florida, not because the state of Florida is hot, but because he hasn’t been to successful since his arrival in Florida. Muschamp is more than likely going to have to get it together, by Florida football standards, this season or he could be looking for a new gig. If that actually happens it could very well play out that George Brown Jr. becomes a Kentucky Wildcat.
Brown is right across the river from Lexington, in Cincinnati Ohio, where he plays his high school football. Don’t think that for one minute that Stoops and staff will be giving up on this recruitment. I’m sure that the Kentucky coaching staff will be in touch with Brown just as much as the Florida Coaching staff will be for the rest of the recruiting season.
