After signing with the Guandong Dragons team, Mudiay is set to make 1.2 million dollars. Now the big wonder will be if this will encourage any of the future talented high school players to follow suit with Mudiay.
One player that openly admits to the idea is Kentucky top recruit - Skal Labissiere out of Memphis. Skal is part of the 2015 class and most think that right now Memphis is the leader for Skal, and Kentucky is on the Tigers heels.
CollegeBasketballtalks.com addressed this with Skal and we will share with you what Skal had to say.
“Overseas is an option,” Labissiere said, which is notable. There have been rumblings that a number of players in Labissiere’s class are looking into that option, but the native-Haitian is the first to acknowledge, on record, that the money that Mudiay got will be a factor in his decision-making process. “I don’t know yet for sure. We’ll see. But that is a lot of money.”
