One big subject in the recruting world has been Harry Giles and his comeback from an ACL injury he suffered. Moran discusses his thoughts on Giles's try out and how he looking.
Harry Giles Is (Almost) Back:
Last year during the U16 tryouts, many observers thought that Harry Giles was the best player on the court regardless of class. Then the North Carolina native tore his ACL during his second game and has been on a slow, but steady road to recovery. While he made his return in May, it was obvious that he was still a long way from being the player he was as a freshman. Last Friday, Giles reminded all of the coaches in attendance why he was previously the top player in his class. He used his 7’2” wing span to throw down viscous dunks in traffic and also scored via pull-up jumpers and outside shots. Right now he still doesn’t have his full explosiveness back and noted that he was about 90 percent healthy. I can’t wait to watch him when he is back to being 100 percent, which might come sooner rather than later.
Giles Currently has offers from Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Forida State, Ohio State, and UNLV.
