Five programs off to a great start with their football recruiting are Kentucky, North Carolina, Miami, Penn St. and Michigan. The two at his top spots are traditionally basketball "blue bloods" taking care of business on the gridiron. Here's what Adam had to say about the Wildcats...
Ranking: Sixth in the SEC; No. 15 overall
Outlook: Kentucky is a basketball school, but coach Mark Stoops is doing a phenomenal job making the fall interesting in Lexington (a win at South Carolina last weekend didn't hurt) and the Wildcats have it rolling in recruiting. Kentucky has 22 commitments - more than any other SEC program - and even though only three are four-star pledges, that's more than Arkansas, Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt. It's not expected that Kentucky is emerging as a major SEC player but Stoops and his staff are recruiting well and there is finally some excitement about the Wildcats on the football field. The only SEC teams rated higher than Kentucky at this time are LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. That's heady company.
Future looks bright for #STOOPSTROOPS! As with any program, recruiting is the key to building your brand. As Kentucky fans we have to be excited about the future of the football program and the direction Coach Stoops and his staff are taking us.
